Nomios was on site at HPE Discover Barcelona 2025, joining customers, partners and HPE leaders at one of the most influential events in the networking and infrastructure calendar. Across multiple days, our team captured a series of interviews and behind-the-scenes moments, now brought together in a dedicated video playlist.
Top-voices from HPE Discover
Throughout the event, Nat and James spoke with HPE executives, CTOs and technical experts, each offering a clear view on where networking is heading and how HPE is executing on that vision.
Real-time visibility and stress testing
Corey Robertson, Innovative Network Expert at HPE, took us inside the Network Operations Center. He explained how the entire show floor network is monitored in real time, using deep telemetry and wireless visibility to deliberately push the infrastructure to its limits. The goal is to identify issues early and resolve them before customers deploy these technologies in production environments.
Security by design in modern networks
Security was a recurring theme. Jon Green, CTO at HPE Networking, spoke about the growing impact of ransomware and malware, and how preventative controls such as zero-trust, role-based access control and firewall policies help limit blast radius when incidents occur. Security, he emphasised, is no longer an add-on but a foundational design principle.
From portfolio integration to self-driving networks
From a strategy and portfolio perspective, Dobias van Ingen, HPE Aruba EMEA CTO and VP Systems Engineering, shared how the combination of Juniper and Aruba has positioned HPE as a major networking player. He highlighted innovations such as high-capacity switching, platform-integrated wireless, and the move towards self-driving networks where AI actively optimises, heals and secures the network.
Executing through the partner ecosystem
Orpheo Koulen, Head of Networking Channels NWE at HPE, focused on execution through the partner ecosystem. He described how the Juniper integration is delivering a full-stack networking portfolio, spanning data centre, core, WAN and access, all aligned under a consistent security policy. Partners play a central role in turning this technology into real customer outcomes.
Regional perspective: networking, cloud and AI
From a regional perspective, Maarten Spijkers, Managing Director at HPE Benelux, reflected on HPE Discover’s key themes: networking, cloud and AI. He also highlighted customer examples from the Netherlands that were showcased on the global stage, underlining the importance of long-term partnerships and local expertise.
Finally, Steven Blees, Enterprise Sales Director Benelux at HPE, spoke about the long-standing collaboration between HPE, Juniper and Nomios. He pointed to the speed of innovation following the acquisition, including the announcement of dual-platform access points that run on both HPE Aruba Central and Juniper platforms, as a clear signal of how fast the integration is progressing.
Partner-driven networking
A consistent message across all interviews was the role of partners. HPE continues to take a partner-first approach, working with organisations like Nomios that combine deep technical expertise with close customer proximity. This model enables customers to design, deploy and operate complex network environments with confidence.
